What an awesome time I had the Frontline Youth Worker Conference. My friend Short-Tee, Monica, and Larry Ragland all spoke and were able to out into those who attended. Big thanks also to Eric, who help in the planning process.
Our theme for the conference was Boots On The Ground, and what I loved about that theme is that we followed through with it. After each person spoke we gave the teams who came about 20 minutes to work out the teaching in their own youth ministry. What will this look like.
I spoke on the Five Core Values of A Disciple from my book The Disciple Project. The video above shows me talking about the value of love from where Jesus said,
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:35
If we do not emphasize the need to love one another or that love is a staple of the Christian life, I don’t see the need to do discipleship at all. But, if our goal is to make life time followers of Jesus, love is the most far reaching, most valuable element of the Christian faith that impacts everything else.
I am a representative for an organization called First Priority. I help equip youth workers and students to plant a bible study club in their school.
This morning, a young lady named Ebony shared about love and she took everyone to church. She kept saying, “I can’t emphasize this enough, God loves you”
She took love seriously. So should we all.
If I can come and inspire your church or youth ministry, assist with youth leader development, or preach at your retreat or camp, I’d love to hear from you
